Well first of all, Happy Year and seasons greetings to new beginnings!
I’ve been trying to wait until I got more of a confirmation on the book for an update but we are still working things out so in the meantime I’ve been busy with learning to live sort of like a normal human. Still attempting to get used to it. Health is good but I’m not as good as I used to be. That is a struggle still. I will be honest, I can’t stand it sometimes. I was a pillar. The backbone. A strong person who could climb up a sandy cliff or mountain but now I’m having to remind myself that I need to recover and take it easy. Not too easy but to remind myself that sometimes I can’t. I don’t like having people do things for me when I can do them myself. I guess that is a mentality that spans generations. From mother to mother to mother. If you want something done right, do it yourself. I don’t know. I don’t want to be lazy but at the same time my body reminds me to stop and listen. I’ve got a good alert system that helps me out before I get myself sick. So far I’ve been doing good. It’s been a year since my last chemo treatment. It feels good but I’m also feeling somber. Not sure if that is the right word for it. I’ve been on a rollercoaster of a journey and now clear skies and a bright blue sky. I’m weary of it. I wonder if it’s okay to relax or should I stay alert of something worse. Sometimes I catch myself relaxing and become alert, asking myself if it’s okay or should I be vigilant.
It’s not easy living when you’ve lived in chaos for so long. It does come in handy during a crisis though ☺️
What next? Lots of events!!! YAY! Going to do Ethereal, Gem Con (both as volunteer and vending) Border town comic con, Beltane, Paawzitivity, and Nampa’s Farmers market… To start out with. I’m so excited for this year! I want to do a book launch party as well with Green Avenue Books. They are switching up to a coffee shop/book shop. It sounds like a dream come true really and I’m excited to be a part of it. I can’t wait to see it!
So far these are the ones I’ve applied for and I’m going. I’ll definitely be applying for Ren Fair and I heard that they’ll have two this year. One in September and then in October. So excited for that too! I loved the last two.
I did get the cover back and I love it!
Anyway that’s about it so far. I have a small job as a bus monitor and I like it. I help the driver with the kids and it’s been an adventure 😀
Sorry for such a short update. I’ve been trying to get as much done before I start really getting into the vending. Got to get as much inventory as possible.
Oh! I’ve been thinking about having a book launch this year for The Crystal Prison at Fables and Froth, which will be Green Avenue Books’ New place.
